Yes. You should keep the zoom.us app up to date to get all current features.
The current version is 5.5.5. (3/7/21)
Start zoom.us application. Click on "zoom.us" at the top left of the menu bar and slide down to Check for updates.

You are most likely using a Basic account vs a Licensed account.
Quit the zoom.us app and then re-start it. Log in using the Google account option.
DO NOT use user name/password.
When you are in, if you click on your initial in the top right corner, you will see "Licensed" behind your name.
